I recently have been checking out some of the free online courses from some of the world's top universities all over the world. I have found some of the great free sources that we can learn different kinds of subjects and topices. I really like that kind of sharing and learning online (I know these are not for everyone and has its own pros and cons) especially for someone like me who live very far away from these top universities and who cannot afford to go to these universities. It still give us the idea of what it is like to be studying in those universities. That's one of the reasons why I like them.
Anyway, I came across with Yale University online free courses (some of them are not free) as they gave you the actual credits for your degree).I checked out something about France and French culture obviously because I speak a little bit of French and I am interested in French culture and its people. It is called French Since 1871 by Professor John Merriman
They got the Youtube videos where the professor was giving his lectures in the university lecture room that gave me the feels of being there. It is very interesting to me because the professor lectures about the origin and history of France and its time in World War Times. It really gave me the understanding of the historical background and made me want to know more about France. He has lived in France for quite a number of years doing his research. He speaks French of course.
I find it really interesting and fun to get to know more about France.
Here are the link to the Youtube videos.
